Access to Information Resources and Communication Technology
If you are a Primary Care Practitioner in Caledonia, Essex, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans or Washington County of Vermont, the Northeastern Vermont AHEC can help you to connect to the information you need.
STRATEGIES FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION
INDEPENDENT SEARCHES - Internet - from home, office, public library, hospital medical library.
Many abstracts and full text journal articles are free through Medline, Healthfinder, VTMednet, Health Reference Center and your professional organization’s (i.e., AAFP) sites.
- Medline -use Loansome Doc by registering individually on form and screen (Use “VTUVER” for your electronic search source when it asks for it on screen).
AHEC supports its region’s primary care providers by paying the basic fee.
ASSISTED SEARCHES
- Your local hospital’s Medical Library
